Complimentary 8 Week Kick Start Training

When our litter reaches 8 weeks old, all new puppy owners are invited to a complimentary Kick Start training session at Karadon Kennels. If you’re unable to attend in person, you’ll also have the option to watch a video version of the session so you don’t miss any of the essential guidance.

During this one hour session with Stuart Barnes, you’ll learn:

• The crucial first four days at home

• How to set up calm, consistent routines

• Ways to build your puppy’s confidence

• How to prevent common behavioural issues before they start

• How to understand your puppy’s natural communication

It’s the perfect foundation for a smooth, confident transition into your home, and a brilliant start to your lifelong relationship with your puppy.

Private Dog Training With Stuart Barnes

Near Oamaru, New Zealand

For families wanting deeper support, Stuart offers private one‑on‑one dog training at his purpose built facility near Oamaru.

His training venue includes:

• Multiple dogs and livestock

• Secure paddocks with varied fencing

• A safe, controlled environment for real world learning

This makes it ideal for working on:

• Leash reactivity

• Recall

• Prey drive control

• Building a stronger bond

• Behaviour challenges of any kind

Stuart also offers house calls when needed, and you can choose from one‑hour sessions or longer packages spread over several visits.

Stu’s “Pressure On, Pressure Off” Method

Stuart’s training system is based on the natural language all social animals use with each other. His Pressure On, Pressure Off method is simple, intuitive, and easy for anyone to follow, even complete beginners.

The goal isn’t to teach dogs our language… It’s to learn theirs.
