What Is ENS – Early Neurological Stimulation?

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is a simple, science‑based program designed to gently stimulate a puppy’s neurological system during a very short but important window of development — from days 3 to 16 of life. This is the stage where a puppy’s brain and nervous system are rapidly forming, and small, controlled challenges can have lifelong benefits.

ENS involves a series of five tiny exercises, each lasting just a few seconds. These mild stressors help puppies develop stronger:

  • Stress responses

  • Heart and circulatory function

  • Immune system strength

  • Confidence and adaptability

Puppies who receive ENS often grow into dogs that are more resilient, calmer in new situations, and better able to cope with everyday life.

At Karadon Kennels, we proudly follow the ENS program because it gives every puppy the best possible start, long before they ever open their eyes or take their first steps. It’s one of the many ways we invest in raising well balanced, confident, emotionally stable puppies for their future families.
